Year of the Snake Cobra Coral and 9 of the most dangerous Poison Snakes in the World -
Top left: African rock python (Python sebae) Nonvenomous
Top center: Sri Lankan cobra (Naja naja) Highly venomous
Top right: Green anaconda (Eunectes murinus) Nonvenomous
Mid left: Eastern coralsnake (Micrurus fulvius) Highly venomous
Btm left: Sidewinder rattlesnake (Crotalus cerastes) Highly venomous
Btm center: Green anaconda (Eunectes murinus) Nonvenomous (again)
Although highly venomous the eastern coralsnake and the sidewinder cause few bites and even fewer deaths since these are USA species and is available. The Sri Lankan cobra is the only big killer in the set and even that falls short of the Russell’s viper in Sri Lanka and the carpet viper in Nigeria, being more in the league of the the Malayan pitviper in Thailand and Vietnam and the common krait in India and Sri Lanka.
